Professor Arri Coomarasamy received his undergraduate medical education from the University of Birmingham, and completed his subspecialist training in reproductive medicine and surgery at Guy’s Hospital, London.

Arri leads a research group at the forefront of early pregnancy care, reproductive medicine and global women’s health. His portfolio includes numerous national and international multicentre randomised controlled trials, including the PROMISE, TABLET, PRISM, AIMS, RESPONSE, CHAMPION and MIFEMISO trials. He has published over 150 medical articles in high impact journals such as the NEJM and the Lancet.

Arri takes pride in mentoring junior doctors and researchers, and several of his trainees have become outstanding clinicians and researchers. His teaching is always engaging and fun!

Arri is also the founder of the charity Ammalife (www.ammalife.org).
